Juniper has an in-house team of expert physiotherapists and therapy assistants that can support you at home to build and maintain strength, assist rehabilitation, support independence and improve your general wellbeing.
Physiotherapists can make a world of difference for Home Care customers. They can weave their magic in many ways, like maintaining strength and balance; managing pains and aches; helping reduce falls; and putting strategies and aids in place to keep you safe at home.
At Juniper, our in-house Allied Health staff can be covered by either your Home Care Package or Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
Benefits of a Physiotherapist for Home Care
A Home Care physiotherapist can improve or maintain your physical abilities through exercises and hands-on therapy so you can remain living at home safely.
- Improve or maintain your strength, balance and stamina so that you can carry on with the activities that you enjoy doing.
- Manage your pains and aches to help you continue to enjoy the activities that you do.
- Advise and provide exercises to help you reduce any falls or near misses that you may have experienced.
- Physiotherapy can be one-on-one or group-based exercises that not only improve strength, balance and stamina, but are also a great place to get chatting and make friends.
How do you know if you will benefit from seeing a physiotherapist?
That’s what our team is here for. Your Juniper Customer Care Lead will work with you to create a Care Plan so you receive the right services to achieve your goals.
That might mean you want to be able to walk down the street to the park. That means a physiotherapist might be right for you to work on strength, stamina and balance so you are able and confident to make that park trip.
Or maybe you want to be able to catch the bus to get to your favourite activity but the step onto the bus is too daunting? Our physiotherapist can work on strength and balance, while other members of our allied health team like an occupational therapist can help find the right aids and our podiatrist can recommend on which footwear would be best to provide you with support and stability whilst you are out.
