Fiji Day a celebration across Kimberley

Juniper’s Kimberley sites were a riot of colour, dance, gifts and traditional food as staff celebrated Fiji Day on October 10.

Festivities marked a day of Fijian national pride with a celebration of a vibrant culture, rich heritage, and incredible spirit.

At Guwardi Ngadu resident Nola took the stage to thank the staff: “We love you all and thank you for looking after us so well, we are like family.”

Guwardi Ngadu Residential Manager Belinda Storer added the day was to honour the traditions and values that have shaped communities and to recognise the hard work and dedication that each staff member brings to the Juniper team.

“Let us use this occasion to reflect on our shared journey and celebrate the achievements we have made together. May we continue to support one another, embrace our unique backgrounds, and work towards a brighter future for ourselves and our communities,” Belinda said.

At Juniper we are fortunate to have Fijian team members at our Residential Aged Care homes in Derby, Albany and Fitzroy Crossing.

Designed to fill labour gaps across regional and rural areas in Australia, the PALM scheme enables employers to hire reliable and productive workers, while providing Pacific and Timor-Leste workers the opportunity to develop their skills, earn an increased income and for our Juniper customers, provide incredible care.
