Today is International Nurses Day, which is a day to honour the essential service nurses provide to vulnerable people daily and to raise awareness of some of the challenges they face.
Dan Norgard, Executive Director of Residential Care, acknowledges the outstanding contribution our nurses make in the Juniper Community.
“Today, and every day we appreciate the tireless work being done by our nurses. There has never been a more challenging time to be a nurse than during the COVID-19 pandemic, but our nurses continue to selflessly provide quality care to our residents and clients. We are deeply appreciative of you all. Thank you”
This week, Juniper announced the commencement of its first Transition to Practice Program for graduate nurses, tying in closely with the year’s International Nurses Day theme ‘Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Invest in nursing and respect rights to secure global health’.
The graduate nursing program will give new nurses the opportunity to focus on the practical side of nursing after completing years of theory in their degree. Juniper is committed to investing in a high-quality nursing team to meet the needs of residents, clients, and communities, now and into the future.
“Graduate nurses will gain specialised nursing experience from some of our most skilled and dedicated nurses. We are looking forward to welcoming them to our Juniper Community.”
