Labrador Ziggy brightens up Hilltop residents

Residents from our Juniper Hilltop Residential Aged Care Home in Bentley met therapy dog Ziggy and his handler from Animal Companions Inc for the first time in July.

Pet therapy has many known benefits for older people in residential aged care, and has been shown to boost mood and improve morale.

Ziggy has conjured many happy memories for residents, who loved sharing stories of the dogs they’ve owned throughout their lives.

We think the big smiles on our residents’ faces says it all – and no doubt they’ll be looking forward to next week’s visit, with plans for to take Ziggy for a walk around our beautiful Rowethorpe campus!
