Works are underway on a new and stylish bowls clubhouse at Juniper Rowethorpe Retirement Living Community in Bentley.
Central to the vibrant and connected community at Rowethorpe, the new-look bowling clubhouse will be three times as big as the existing structure. An artist’s impression of the new clubhouse is in the inset above.
Following extensive research, it was considered that using three sea containers to create the new clubhouse could provide a functional and cost-effective community hub.
On completion, the clubhouse will offer kitchen facilities, toilets and a meeting room available to bowlers and non-bowlers to host get-togethers such as village delegate committee meetings, birthdays, anniversaries and more.
The new facility will provide spaces for players to store their bowls equipment and an undercover area for spectators to sit back and watch the competition unfold, or simply catch up with fellow residents.
The works follow renovations to the Terrace Café at Rowethorpe Retirement Living Community, which were unveiled in 2023.
It is expected that works on the new bowls clubhouse will be completed in late 2025.
