Juniper has opened a new hub in Karrinyup to respond to the growing need for quality home care services in Perth’s northern suburbs.
The new hub will provide a central point for Juniper clients who live north of the river to access multiple allied health services, as well as a new office space for the Juniper Home and Community Care team.
Juniper already provides Home and Community Care services to support thousands of seniors to continue living independently in their own homes across Perth, including a growing number in the City of Stirling, Joondalup and Wanneroo. The opening of the Karrinyup hub allows Juniper to better service those and new clients and provide a meeting point closer to home for many staff.
“This new hub is all about our people. It improves the quality of life of our clients by providing them with a central hub for allied health services and provides my team a central point to work together as a team closer to their own home,” Juniper Director of Home Care and Retirement Living Angie Slater said.
“By cutting down on staff travel time, it will allow them to be able to spend more time with their clients and to have a better work-life balance.
“Not only will we be closer to the clients we service, but also respond to the growing need for quality home care services suited to the individual in the local community.”
Local Juniper residents, clients, and staff celebrated the opening of the Home and Community Care Hub on 27 October with an afternoon tea and a preview of the services on offer.
The hub will offer new health and wellness programs, physiotherapy, exercise groups, podiatry, and occupational therapy.
Angie said that there has been a higher demand for home care support as more people want to keep themselves engaged, mobile and independent, so they can continue living in the comfort of their own homes connected to their community.
Each day, Juniper assists older Western Australians with clinical support from nursing and allied health teams; home support from personal care to meal planning; and social support from companionship to transport via the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Home Care Packages.
