Juniper’s industrious Work Health and Safety team has taken the important year-round R U OK? campaign to staff around the state.
Work Health and Safety advisors have travelled to Juniper residential sites and Home and Community offices from the Perth metro area all the way to Kununurra to host a series of the toolbox talks.
The sessions share several eye-opening statistics, such as one in two Australians experiencing a mental health condition in their lifetime, along with helpful techniques on how to get conversations started.
With this year’s theme being “Ask R U OK? Any Day”, the team were focused on sharing the campaign’s message that regular, meaningful conversations supported people who found themselves struggling, as they knew they had someone they could talk to.
Juniper’s Work Health and Safety Manager John Clarkson said the toolbox sessions provided another opportunity to take proactive steps to support the Juniper workforce.
“The talks have been well-received and appreciated at the sites and offices, and it has been a great addition to the health and wellbeing program,” John said.
Amongst the sites that the WHS team has delivered toolbox talks include Juniper Ella Williams (Noranda), Juniper Gerdewoonem (Kununurra) and Juniper Cygnet (Bentley).
The team plans to deliver more toolbox sessions across other Juniper sites.
